Richard is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Redwood Services.
Prior to forming Redwood, Richard spent nearly 12 years in a variety of operating and leadership roles at The ServiceMaster Company, working with some of the world’s most iconic and successful service brands, including Terminix (pest control), TruGreen (lawn care), Merry Maids (residential cleaning), ServiceMaster Restore (disaster restoration), ServiceMaster Clean (janitorial), Furniture Medic (furniture and cabinet repair), TruGreen Landcare (commercial landscaping), and American Home Shield (home warranties). From 2017 to 2020, Richard was a member of the Terminix senior leadership team, where he was responsible for Strategy, Analytics, and Growth Initiatives. Richard began his career on Wall Street as an Analyst at Bear Stearns.
Richard has an MBA from Emory University and earned his B.A., summa cum laude, in Business from Yeshiva University – where he was also a 4-year NCAA athlete.
Richard and his wife were both born and raised in Memphis and have four amazing children together.
Adam Hanover is Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Union Main Group – an investment holding company owned by Marc and Adam Hanover, Bill Conway (co-Founder, The Carlyle Group), Pitt Hyde (Founder, AutoZone), and Mitchell Blutt and Kevin Livingston (co-Founders, Consonance Capital).
Union Main acquires controlling equity stakes in business services companies as an active, long-term capital partner providing operational expertise, financial planning, strategic vision, and a deep network. Union Main Group’s portfolio is comprised of: AnovoRx (rare-disease specialty pharmacy), Redwood (national consolidator of HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical brands), and Echelon Energy (energy-efficient utilities infrastructure auditor, retrofitter, and data-collection company for institutional real estate owners). Together, Union Main Group’s companies employ ~1,500 individuals across the United States.
Prior to founding Union Main Group, Adam was the Chief Executive Officer of Archer Systems, the nation’s largest third-party administrator for Mass Tort and Class Action claims. From 2011-2016, Adam worked at The Carlyle Group in various capacities across the Executive Group, Carlyle Equity Opportunities Fund, and Carlyle Global Partners. Adam earned his BA, magna cum laude, in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania. Adam is a board member of the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, St. Albans School of Public Service, and the Hillel at the University of Pennsylvania.
John is the Chief Operating Officer of Redwood Services. In this role, he helps guide and direct Redwood’s strategy of identifying and growing partner companies.
He has been involved in the HVAC and Plumbing industries for more than 27 years. Mr. Conway was most recently a part of the member-owned Nexstar Network, one of the industry’s most successful best-practices-sharing groups, where he spent the past six years as a recognized HVAC coach and resource. At Nexstar, John dedicated his time to coaching the best HVAC service providers across the country while developing a network of HVAC owners and operators who are committed to providing efficient, customer-focused service to their customers in their respective markets. He began his career in Memphis working for his father’s small HVAC company in 1994. In 1998 he purchased the business, growing it to $10-million-dollar in sales by 2010. After selling the business in 2010, John remained with the company as general manager and grew annual revenues to over $20 million.
